Dance Definitive was set up originally to be Trevox’s dance track blog, though at present, show listings are at www.trevox.uk, and tracks available are on his Rhythmic Records blog.

 

An accession number is assigned to each media item within {braces} and optionally suffixed comma-separated by a track number, thus: {X999A,X9} where  

X is an alphanumeric character in the ranges 0-9, a-z and A-Z,

9 is a numeric character in the range 0-9, and

A is an alphabetic character A-Z indicating distribution information.

 

Distribution information characters:    

A = Album    

B = Borrowed [Tag to show from whom]

C = Compact Disk (CD)    

D = Download

E = Extended play vinyl 45rpm > 2 tracks, normally 3 to 6 tracks

J = Joyce's collection

L = Long Play vinyl 33rpm

M = Minidisc

N or NB = Note 

R = Reel-to-reel tape

S = Single vinyl 45rpm 1 or 2 tracks

T = Tape cassette

U = URL

V = Digital Versatile Disc (DVD)

W = 12-inch vinyl single

X = Explicit language / Parental advisory. Media eliminated from library upon discovery.

Z = 8-track cartridge

 

Metadata derived from Mixed-In-Key

Key, in "Lancelot/Camelot" notation, i.e. minor keys 1A to 12A, major keys 1B to 12B.

Tempo, in Beats Per Minute alias "BPM" or "bpm".

Energy, from 1 to 9, in the format "E1" to "E9".

Year of initial popularity (e.g. 1972)

Cue points (intro-start, intro-match-point, intro-end, outro-start, outro-match-point & outro-end.)

Time signature (e.g. 4'4 or common time, 3'4 or waltz, 6'8, 2'4, etc.)

Rating, used as an alias of Valence. Originally alphabetic (A,B,C,D,E or R), then numeric as in OTSAV.

[A]  10,9

[D]  4,3 meaning "Request" and [REQ] 

[E]  2,1 meaning  "Not on playlist" and [NOP] 

[R]  0 meaning "Remove from collection". [R] not used since 2021-11-04.
